Temperature range TS200: -40°C to 950°C

The main feature of the sensor is the sensing element (chip). The electrical resistance of this sensing element changes as the temperature changes. This allows for easy measurement & requires no special wiring or electronics. The measured temperature can easily be calculated in the ECU. The success of the sensor concept can be traced back to its ease of use and wide range performance. In production for a few years now, the sensor proved itself to be accurate, quick measuring, resistant to high temperature and with a good thermal shock resistance. Making it usable for a wide range of applications, DPF, EGR, catalytic converters, .. But it also proved to be functional over a wide temperature range (-40°C up to 950°C) without this affecting the performance during the lifetime (accuracy, step response, etc).
